  • Free parking is available at the Centennial Land Run Monument where the tour begins. From Reno Ave. go south on Centennial Dr. which ends near access to the monument. The monument is located just south of The Truck Yard and shares the parking lot. Here is a link to public parking in OKC. FUN FACT — the parking meter was invented in Oklahoma City.

  • Yes, all ages are welcome. Minors will need to be accompanied by an adult. Participants of all ages must be able to comfortably walk 6,000 steps and ascend/descend stairways.

  • The tour starts promptly at the scheduled time. We ask that your party arrives 10 – 15 minutes prior to start time to check in and ensure the tour doesn’t start without you. We start on time as many of our guests have planned around the tour, and delays may be disruptive to the group. Approximately 20 minutes after the start time, we will board the street car at the northeast corner of Reno and Mickey Mantle Dr. You can connect with the group there if you are running late.

  • Please allow 3 hours to Explore OKC, learn our unique history and visit key landmarks.

  • The tour includes some walking up small hills, riding the streetcar, and a couple flights of stairs. Plan to walk about 6,000 steps.

  • No, gratuities are not included. Offering a gratuity for your tour guide is optional (and appreciated). If you feel a gratuity is earned, typical rates range between 15-20%.

  • Tours are held in most weather conditions, however we do reserve the right to cancel when lightning, tornadoes, or flooding are present, or other unforeseen events. Just be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately.

  • Travel plans change, we get it! Full refunds are offered for cancelation requests received 24-hours prior to your scheduled tour. Unfortunately, refunds are not available with less than 24 hours notice because we have incurred expenses for transportation, tickets, and scheduled guides.

  • Yes, Explore OKC is owned and operated by a third generation Oklahoman who’s family history is intertwined with the beginning days of our great city.
